The Ball Captain is responsible for the planning and execution of the annual Mardi Gras Ball. Their duties include selection of a theme, oversight of royalty costumes and securing ball venue and entertainment. The Ball Captain shall be the chair of the Ball Committee.

This committee is in charge of the tableau production for our annual Royal Ball. They work with the Ball Captain to select music, work with the MC to write the script and the Production Coordinator to create the overall flow for the program. They report to the Board at our monthly meetings.

This committee is responsible for planning and  hosting our member and Court events throughout the year. They locate venues, work with caterers and work behind the scenes to ensure our Krewe events are superb.

This committee is responsible for the logistics of the Royal Ball - leading up to ball day and the day after.

 

Responsibilities:

• Coordinate table setup and tear-down with venue

• Coordinate with Decorations Committee for assistance with install, rentals, etc.

• Coordinate food and wine delivery day/night of event

• Coordinate check-in

• Coordinate on-site security

This committee leads any community events the Krewe participates in throughout the year.

 

Responsibilities:

• Coordinate participation in the Christmas Parade

• Coordinate with Decorations Committee on float decorations

• Identify location for Krewe Royalty to dress/prep

This committee is one of the most creative in our Krewe. They work closely with our Ball Captain to refine his/her vision for the theme. They help our Royal Court with fittings throughout the year and work directly with our costumer to execute the designs in a timely manner.

Responsibilities:

• Work with Ball Captain to sketch our initial design ideas

• Work with costumer to refine vision

• Communicate with Court to schedule fittings and be available to assist costumer

• Available at Krewe Photo Shoot (early January) to help with costumes

• Available during dress rehearsal and Ball

This creative committee brings the Ball Captain’s vision to life. They work closely with the Ball Captain to create a visual experience for members at the Ball. Emphasis on creating items that can be re-used for the parade float. Clean-up is a part of the role as well.

This committee is a newly created function and is responsible for all Krewe related charitable and service related efforts. 

 

Responsibilities:

• Serves as the POC for the Charity selected by the Krewe annually.

• Coordinates non-member volunteers as needed to assist with Krewe functions.

• Maintains an ongoing list of Charitable Organizations within West Feliciana Parish.
